MD Public Relations is run by Marcia Dixon MBE, one of the most well-known PR specialists within Britain’s black church community.
In October 2020 Marcia was listed in the Queen’s Birthday Honour’s List and awarded an MBE for services to Inter Faith Relations.
During her many years leading MD PR, Marcia has received a number of accolades.
In 2017 she received a Legacy Award for her work in media promoting the black faith community.
In 2016 she was the recipient of the Woman of the Year award at the Wise Woman Awards. In 2013 she received a Ministers Appreciation Ball Award for her media work, and in 2005, the African Caribbean Evangelical Alliance included Marcia Dixon (delete) in their list of 21 people who have contributed greatly to the development of the black Christian community in the UK.
In 2010 Ms Dixon was appointed as a Faith Advisor to the UK Government, and served on a panel comprised of 13 Faith Advisors who acted as a ‘sounding board’ to advise the government on effective engagement with faith communities.
Aside from her PR work, Ms Dixon is a columnist with The Voice, Britain’s best-selling black newspaper and Keep The Faith, Britain’s leading magazine about the black faith community.
Ms Dixon is also regularly invited to speak about PR, promotion, gospel music and how to develop relationships with Britain’s black faith community.
